By far, this place was the best. We are from St Augustine and came down to Deland to eat and happened to stumble upon this place! It was amazing to watch the venom extraction. The staff allowed us to hold a non venomous snake. They were knowledgeable and engaging. Our boys, 7 and 10, absolutely loved it! After the extraction, Carl and Mara came out to talk to us. We would do this again in a heartbeat. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
The venom milking is the best part though. It's intense to watch these professionals handle dangerous and quick animals.
If I could give them more stars I would. Thank you guys for all you do! This place is awesome.... we go here all the time and it never ceases to amaze us.

My wife and I were kind of expecting a run of the mill exhibit. Just walk in, look at reptiles and leave. We were totally wrong.
They have so many different types of snakes from all over the world. They're in glass display cases and the snakes don't have placed to hide so you'll definitely get a good view.
